Posts: 391 Joined: 24.07.05	Is there a spot that describes the history of the guild? Who started it? RL friends? Was it passed over from another mmorpg? WoW only? etc etc. I always like checking this info out for some reason. If its here, sorry ive missed it. Point me to the link

Posts: 795 Joined: 05.05.05	EK came about after a merger between Raiders of The Last Keg and Eternal Retribution. I wasn't a member back then but the intent was to create a large raiding guild to focus on molten core. It was created in march, I believe.

Posts: 1250 Joined: 01.04.05	Me and cake have been playing games together for a while now. We started with WC3 and we met through RL family/friends. When WoW came out we started a small guild on the the very first day called "No Name". The guild leader was a douche bag and made a guild without a name so for a few weeks we were playing under the No Name guild tag. The original leaders were Cake, me, Ramen, Basho and a few others. Eventually as the guild solidified we re-made the guild with a better name - thus Raiders of the Goat Sea was born. If you've been on Vent, you will see that the password to our vent server is goat sea. During this period of "levelling" we met many great players and not so great players. The first 60's on the server began to emerge. (I believe Cake was the 3rd 60 on the server - this was back in January). We met some awesome people like Anthem, Vessi(god I miss her), Nasir, Belzeodof, Ok, Natalya, etc etc. At this time we began to recruit high level players for the purpose of raiding. A few roadblocks appeared however. Apparently someone(we dont know who to do this day) reported the guild for a naming violation. Goat Sea was deemed inappropriate and we were forced to disband the guild(for some reason they just couldnt change guild names back then) and as guild leader I was banned for an awesome 3 hours . Cake, in his infinite wisdom reformed the guild as Raiders of the Goat Lake. ROFL. Anyways, that name sucked so AGAIN we reformed the guild as Raiders of the Last Keg. During this time, Diseased(now retireed) was booted from the guild over a ninjaing incident and Drizzen left as he was his best friend in RL. They went on to form SL. We began running raids to BRD for the first time on the entire server. Nobody had ever set foot in BRD and it was thought impossible to 5 or even 10 man. We would bring in 15 people to BRD just to clear the arena . Later on we moved to LBRS/Scholo/Strath. Weeks later we ventured into MC for the very first time on the server. Posts: 1294 Joined: 25.07.05	i remember raiding xraods for the first time...i was like level 35 (maybe as high as 40) and cake joined us... we were all like "OMG it's da amazing lvl 60 hunter omgwtfbbq!!!!" i think Yume was there too, I was abouut level with OK i still have the 14 slotters that maxine hooked me up with when i was around 40 (she gave me a nice deal, such a sweetie) found a screenie from around that time (ack! uninstalling WoW deletes all screenies >< oh well) here it is...i know I had more .tga's

I started the game on day one when I was making fun of my brother for playing and then he made me try >.< Anyway, Helios was the first person I ever grouped with at lvl 13 and then he invited Xel to the group. We ended up starting the guild Holy Avengers with us and Xel as well as a few other people like Soldat etc. Later on I met Danden, Syk, Velhart, and Fabled. We had a channel together so we would not have to leave our guilds but eventually merged to become Eternal Retribution. ER and SL were formed at about the same time. Then after about a month of doing a lot of stuff with Raiders of The Last Keg people those two merged and now we have EK <3 /moo

Posts: 481 Joined: 10.04.05	Another historic point in EK History was late March and April when a grand recruiting drive was begun by Stehlen Life in order to get the numbers to do Molten Core. This is where the "raiding guilds" got the reputation of cracking small guilds. In my case I lost two guild leaders in a row to SL. First Windforce of The Doombringers and then Erdrick of Order of the White Tree. In these cases and a couple more like it EK picked up alot of people from the now leaderless guilds(look at the dkp joined dates). This was a time of major guild expansion and besides the names mentioned above was the time when the great majority of us joined. This did create friction between what at the time was the "old" and "new" 60s and some rifts between the then officers over guild size. In the end around seven or eight ekers left and formed Ascensum the Alliances' third raid guild. Since that time guild expansion has slowed considerably as after the "new" 60s got geared up we were capable of doing Molten Core, LK, and Azzy by ourselves.(once again im sure there is more I personally was in guilds with 12 or so current or past ekers coming up) Edited by Charles on 02-08-2005 12:06 S.P.C.A. Posts: 333 Joined: 29.04.05	Charles is correct about Order of the White Tree. This guild had been formed in December by a guy named Erdrick. Matello and I were too of the original leaders, and we were later fortunate enough to recruit Greenroul (now retired), Firedrake, Ninjee, Charles, Seryna, and Rabidlylucid (forgive me if I left someone out). When Erdrick (also retired, we think) suddenly left to join SL, Cake gave the rest of us a chance with EK. This was in early April. I remember seeing Goat Sea ppl all the time in the early winter, and I remember the stink about that guild's name. I always wondered what happened to those ppl, and the Vent password was a big hint. I also remember seeing Cake, Helios, Durenas, and Broc a lot in those days, although I didn't know any of them.

Posts: 669 Joined: 01.04.05	i was unguilded until about lvl 25 when i joined wrath of aries when vessi invited me. she then went to goat sea, and i soon followed. i was so lucky to be in that guild when it started picking up.. i mean look.. we killed ragnaros! i met christy and cake, became good friends, then met maxine, danden, etc. SL was taking over and people wanted an all 60s guild too, so we merged and formed EK. Posts: 1128 Joined: 10.04.05	Yea, to follow up on Charles and Mardo's post, pretty much the core of the White Trees came to EK together about a month after EK was formed (thank you Cake I had been working my last five or so levels off by grouping alot with Greenroul, Erdrick, Mard, and Xelason (former SL). Xelason was in the Order of the White Tree when we were at our peak. Xelason left for SL suddenly and then Erdrick followed shortly after and left a member who was not well liked in charge in the hopes that Mard, Charles, Ninjee, Greenroul, Seryna, Matello and I would all come with him to SL. Problem was none of us wanted any part of SL and we all wanted to stay together. Cake allowing us to all come was a big deal to us. So in essence you can say that The Order of The White Tree was kind of merged into EK as well, as I don't think the guild exists any more. Side Note: While remembering all of this, Thank you to Mardolius, Ninjee, Charles, Seryna, Matello for being such good friends to me in this game.
